Genealogy DatabaseHere you will find our genealogical database, an index to records available from both on-line and archival sources, as well as records contributed by members. Remember, this is an INDEX -- it should not be treated as a primary source, but rather used as a guide to finding further information in primary sources. This database lists individuals in Larimer County only. For each record in the database there is a source citation (that is the original source you need to check, or a reference to a person or webpage where you might find further information); the name of the person; the event being recorded -- we only include born, christened, married, lived, and died -- 'lived' being the most common and indicating only that the person was alive in Larimer County at the time the record refers to; and if available the date, location within Larimer County and an optional note. This database includes all names from the 1870 Larimer County Federal Census (838 names) and the heads of households (and individuals within the household whose surnames were different from the head of house) for the 1910 Larimer County Federal Census (7,878 names). To retrieve records use the following query form. NOTE: do not use apostrophes, for example, enter the name "O'Brien" as "Obrien". The surname must be complete and exact match, but first name can be partial, even just an initial, or left blank to get all listings for a surname. You must be a member and To submit records use the form below if you have only a few names you want to add, or submit a file if you have a large number of records for this county. NOTE Be sure the event and location are for Larimer County -- do not submit events that occurred elsewhere, even if the person lived in Larimer County at some other time. Such external events may be mentioned in the 'note' section. If entering a marriage, enter the woman's maiden name in the 'surname' box, you may enter the spouse's name in 'note' if you wish. Do not enter any non-alphanumeric characters in any field (e.g. "P. J. O'Brien" should be entered as "P J Obrien"). You must be a member and We invite you to submit articles on Larimer county genealogy, including biographies, record transcripts, etc. (Remember: Members earn valuable points for article submissions! ) |
