This used to be a good sie when it was relatively undiscovered, but now they force you to register (though it is free) to access content. Much of the original irreverence has gone as this becomes just another conservative mainstream tool, with nothing to recommend it over other sources we list here.

CNN/Money
The usual news and market reports, but annoying pop-ups -- recommended only to those with a good pop-up blocker.

Value Engine
You will need the free registration to access most of this site, and it has pop-ups, but in this case it is worth the hassle for the valuable information it provides. With this site you can determine which stocks are undervalued and which overvalued at current prices, plus independant analysis of prospects. They also have a premium service with even more information.

Barchart.com
For the technical analyst, this is a great resource for current information on various technical indicators, and trend information presented in several graphical formats.

Marketocracy
This is a fun and educational site for the serious investor who wants to hone his skills on 'paper' before risking little Sarah's college education fund. They give you a million dollar mutual fund account to invest in stocks of your choice, then you buy and sell as you wish in order to bring the value up. It is a free, but time consuming simulation.

Information on investing in individual bonds or bond funds, current bond prices, coporate, municipal, treasury bonds.

Commodity News and Investing - Forbes
Global commodity prices, indexes, news and resources.

Kitco - Gold and Precious Metals
Spot prices, futures, markets, news and reports. Emphasis on gold, but includes information on silver, platinum and other precious metals.
